2024 President’s Ride Summary

SKYLINE TRAIL RIDERS

PRESIDENT’S RIDE REPORT 2024
What could be more fun than people? More cowboyz!

Considering we had nearly 100 cowboyz, wranglers, & guests each night, gotta say we embodied some true entertaining cowboy etiquette, enthusiasm, and good old fashion hell raising!

August 7-11, we enjoyed world class riding in big
country of the Wallowa Mountains & Eagle Cap Wilderness:

– Fergi Ski Hill, Redmont & Canal Road, around Papoose Lake;
– McCully Basin picking out along McCully Creek;
– Long hauling to Aneroid & 6 Mile Meadow;
– Summiting East Moraine and the top of Mt Howard.

Wrapping up the afternoons with swims in Lake Wallowa washing off the traildust while enjoying House Wife Beach.

We closed our ride by honoring and eulogizing our fallen cowboy brother Ken Evans with fine words from Mike Chamness & Ken Davis.

1ST YEAR GUESTS it was fantastic having you all, be sure to return next year!

Of course, a ride like that doesn’t happen all by its lonesome. The past year working to ensure an epic week, with support & cooperation second to none, and serving you all, exceeded all expectations. With the luxury of some amazing Old Bulls who preceded me & paved the way for me to learn from & be inspired by over the last 17 years!

It doesn’t hurt to have the world class country like we have in the Great NW, Joseph, Oregon, the Swiss Alps of USA didn’t disappoint.
